Barb & I are so sad to lose such a good friend. Jerry was learned, talented, kind, generous, and always full of the old nick. A complete human, a mensch. We always looked forward to "Jeritos" in Skamania!
We will miss him dearly and remember him always. Our sincerest condolences to Sylvia and family. Love, Josh & Barb Reese
I knew you for 37 years and over that time you were always thoughtful and generous to me. I liked our discussions over vitamins and my other herbal remedies although you never convinced me to give them up. And politics, because I always learned more. My many times at your home from LB to Skamania were always filled with interesting conversations and I always felt sparked, engaged, and alive. I left knowing I was cared about and loyal to your family. Your family has been a major part in my life and my mothers. We have been accepted and welcomed. I am so glad you stopped here on the way up this summer because once more I felt the Manheim connection and warmth. You married well Jerry and created quite a notable family, a successful life. Living seems to be also about learning to let go of the past but those days around the dinner table filled with activity and conversation will always be my treasure with your voice imbedded in my memory. Thank you.
Today is the day, Jerry will be among you, among us. With is humour and tenderness, his lively spirit and his jokes, his nice smile and his joy, his smart and acurate look on the world.
Dear Jerry, I am so happy to have discover , 35 years ago, this californian, hippie, controversal, politicaly engaged, funny family whom you where the leader. I'll miss the great man you are.
May your new aventures be as impredictable and fulfulling than those you leave.
My warmest kisses to Sylvia and the whole family.

My Dear Jerry (and family): This world will not be the same without your personality, though I have no doubt your wit, your commentary, and your deep caring will live on as a light for us all. Of course you would have argued that there is no spirit after death, but will you let us know in case you were mistaken? I will miss your making arguments to show us how much you cared. We will honor your memory... Thank you so much My Dear Friend, With Love, Larry, Kyla, Asher

Dear Jerry,
Ruth remembers discussing with you about truth, half-trues and lies. Gabby remembers discussing with you about science at breakfast time. And I remember our recent discussion about the expansion of the universe.
The three of us are missing you so much...
The Meghiddos

The first time I met Jerry, only a decade or so ago, he treated me like I was a member of his family. It made me feel special. Then I realized he treated EVERYONE like family. He made EVERYONE feel special. What a wonderful gift to those who had the good fortune of making his acquaintance. Thanks, Jerry.

He had a quiet, wry wit that made me think he knew something I only pretended to know. Such a sweet man, surrounded by so much love.

Jerry was a man I'll never forget - funny, warm, serious, earnest, political, always ready to lend a helping hand, larger than life, a good friend. He will leave lasting tracks in the minds of all who knew him. In forever memory, Rozz Rusinow

I had the privilege to spend time with Jerry in Skamania this summer. He was an amazing man, and gave me many new insights and perspectives on this complicated and beautiful world. Thank you Jerry and the entire Manheim family for making humanity better.
